Career Resources

A number of on-campus career services are available to current Master of Public Policy and Administration students. Students enrolled in the MPPA program are encouraged to connect with Caragh Boyles, Career Center Associate Director, Assessment and Internships for Political Science and Public Administration, to take advantage of these services.

Available online services include:


Connections (https://msstate-csm.symplicity.com/students/) should be your first option when performing your job search, scheduling on campus interviews, or checking out what companies are coming to campus. Login using your NetID and NetPassword. Create your profile and upload your resume to apply for jobs. As always, Career Center staff and peer counselors can assist you in your job search. Make an appointment or stop by 300 Montgomery Hall.


Ready to begin moving your career forward? Career Shift is a way to search, select, and store job listings from all job boards and all company job postings. It also gives you up-to-date contact information and email addresses for millions of companies. To check out CareerShift, login to Connections using your NetID and NetPassword. Mississippi Grad Jobs (https://www.msgradjobs.com/home) brings together Mississippi employers with job-seekers who want to make a great life for themselves in Mississippi. This website enables you to search for jobs that fit your major. In addition, you can sign up to receive periodic emails that highlight opportunities well suited for someone with your interests and educational background.

Going Global

Going Global is an awesome website and leading provider of both country-specific and USA city-specific career and employment information. Our unlimited access subscription database features 30 Country Career Guides, 41 USA City Career guides, corporate profiles and more than 500,000 internship and job listings within the USA and around the world. To check out Going Global, login to Connections using your NetID and NetPassword. Under “Jump To” click on “Going Global”.
